IRA OPATOWSKY, M.D.
Ira E. Opatowsky, M.D. was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He attended the University of California at Davis graduating in three years Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Bacteriology. Dr. Opatowsky received his medical degree from the University of California at San Diego. He completed a one-year transitional internship at Mercy Hospital in San Diego. He then returned to UC San Diego to complete a residency in Ophthalmology serving as chief resident during his final year of training. Dr. Opatowsky moved to Lancaster, CA to accept a position as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in private practice. He then founded Antelope Valley Eye Care in Lancaster with a satellite clinic in Ridgecrest, CA. He continues to provide comprehensive medical and surgical eye care to the Antelope Valley and Ridgecrest areas. He is the majority owner of Envision Surgery Center, an ambulatory surgery center in Lancaster.
Dr. Opatowsky married his high school sweetheart, Ilana, and they have four children and four grandchildren. Ira is a Life Patron of the Flight Test Historical Foundation.
