DREW MERCY
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, THE ANTELOPE VALLEY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH ENTERPRISE, (AV EDGE)

Drew Mercy is a native Southern Californian. He graduated from Quartz Hill High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis.
Drew is the Executive Director of the Antelope Valley Economic Development and Growth Enterprise – the economic development corporation for northern Los Angeles County and southeastern Kern County. AV EDGE works to bring investment and jobs to the region and promote a successful local economy.
Prior to this role, he served as an advisor for state elected officials for over twenty years. Those he assisted include former Senator Pete Knight, former Senator Sharon Runner, former Senator and BOE Member George Runner, former Senator Scott Wilk and Assemblyman Tom Lackey.
Drew is also a local elected official, having served as a Director and Vice President of the Quartz Hill Water District from 2021-2023 and currently representing Division 1 on the Antelope Valley-East Kern Water Agency Board of Directors.
He is a past president of the Antelope Valley Board of Trade, Antelope Valley Jaycees and a past Honorary Commander at Edwards Air Force Base. Currently he serves as Chairman of the City of Lancaster Criminal Justice Commission, Director and Immediate Past President of the Antelope Valley Fair Association Board, Director of the Antelope Valley Boosters, and on the board of the Special Districts’ Association of North Los Angeles County.
