JENS K. NEELSEN

Jens Neelsen is the retired Senior Managing Director of CWCAA, where he joined in September 2008 to co-manage operations for the CWC Regional Housing Fund, LP (“RHF”). In addition to overseeing RHF, he helped launch two additional housing funds and directed the acquisition of more than 100 single-family homes in the San Diego area. Beginning in 2013, he led the acquisition of commercial properties across the western United States and oversaw the day-to-day management of the CWC Income Properties real estate portfolios. His association with Chris Weil and affiliates dates back to 1973.

From 1975 until its sale in 2006, Jens served as Managing Member of Essex Ventures, LLC, owner and operator of the Essex House and Convention Center, a 230-room hotel, convention center, and health and racquet club in Lancaster, California. Through his hotel and property management company, Nina, Ltd., he also managed property operations for the facility.

Throughout his real estate and management career, Jens collaborated on several ventures, including the development and sale of 107 single-family residences in Lancaster, California, and served as President and COO of Paul-Weil Management Corporation, which managed 12 hotel and motel properties throughout the United States.

From 2006 to 2009, he served on the Board of Directors of Graves World Hospitality and the Supervisory Board of WORLDHOTELS AG, a leading global reservation, sales, and marketing representation company. In 2014, following the acquisition of Casa del Zorro Resort and Spa by CWC Casa del Zorro, LLC, Jens oversaw its operations.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jens has held a number of civic and volunteer leadership roles, supporting and strengthening the communities in which he has lived and worked.
