DIANE BARNEY
Diane Barney is an aerospace engineer and private pilot who has lived in Mojave since 2015. She spent six years as an active duty officer in the US Air Force as an operational test engineer and project manager on B-1Bs, U-2s, and RQ-4s. She has worked as an engineer in manufacturing and flight test at Scaled Composites and The Spaceship Company. She is currently a senior flight systems engineer on NASA’s electric X-Plane, the X-57 Maxwell. She flies her Grumman Tiger and J-3 Piper Cub out of Mojave and a Boeing Stearman at Tehachapi.
