CHRISTINA PRESTON
RECORDING SECRETARY

Christina Preston, (Elected to Board in 2023) is owner of Preston Creativing Consulting and brings over 20 years of award-winning non-profit development, strategic planning, research, fundraising, public programming, and grant writing experience to FTMF.

She earned an M.S. degree in Community and Regional Development from UC Davis. In addition, she brings an academic and professional background in museum studies, exhibit design, historic preservation, and public history. Christina has received over thirty awards from local, state, and federal agencies for her creative and philanthropic work, including awards from the California State Legislature, the President’s Volunteer Award, and the USAF Thunderbirds. In addition, she works with CalFire by staffing and training a 30-person team of volunteers to operate a fire lookout tower in a remote area of El Dorado County, California, which provides fire reconnaissance support to aerial firefighting crews.

Christina’s passion for aviation is inspired by her father, a WWII veteran and pilot. She has spent hundreds of hours volunteering on the aircraft restoration teams at the Travis Air Force Base Aviation Museum and the Aerospace Museum of California. With a passion for adventure, she has enjoyed flight in a wide array of aircraft, from gliders to warbirds, and even an F-16 Fighting Falcon.
